This Thursday is a National competition, 15 minutes, no calculators at lunch. 9th &10th graders meet in room 302 with Dr. Shim and 11th & 12th grades in room 202 with Mrs. Smith. Thursday is the last day to turn in applications and shirt orders. Stop by room 202 today! Quiz Bowl
Talented students of Valley Christian, drop by this Wednesday to Quiz Bowl in room 106g after school. Quiz Bowl is a program that allows two teams against one another to answer a variety of complex but fairly easy questions – like Jeopardy. Upcoming tournaments and the National tournament in the later part of the year will be discussed. Be sure to register as soon as possible to be able to register for the two tournaments that will be taking place very soon.
Beach Clean Up
“Save Our Shores” annual Beach Clean Up is this Saturday, September, 21st, 9am – 12, at Rio Del Mar Beach. This Clean up helps prevent pollution from harming marine wildlife. Pick up more information in room 105 or from the Marine Biology Club!
AMSE Seminar
AMSE Students – Come to the first AMSE Seminar this Sunday, September 22 at 6:30 in the High School Theater. The speakers will be Dr. John Haburjak and Dr. Aimee Norris-Haburjak. They will be speaking on the topics of Veterinary Surgery and Veterinary Pathology. These seminars are an AMSE graduation requirement so try to attend as many as possible as you may learn about a field that you have not previously considered. Parents, friends, and family are welcome to attend. The seminar will begin promptly at 6:30.
Club Fair
This Thursday there is a mandatory meeting at lunch in the main gym for all club advisors and club presidents. Please make sure a representative from your club is in attendance at the meeting. Guidelines will be given for the year as well as for the Club Fair on September 26th.
